Silberstein Insurance Group Is One of the Best Places to Work

Silberstein Insurance Group (SIG) has been honored as a finalist in the Baltimore's Best Places to Work contest managed by the Baltimore Business Journal.

SIG strives to make its employees feel like part of a family. It conducts frequent internal surveys to gauge employees' opinions and feelings on certain topics and programs then uses their responses to make changes accordingly. Additionally, employees enjoy internal as well as offsite company-sponsored events, casual dress, healthy snacks, and shortened summer Friday schedules.

Richard Silberstein, SIG President, said, "We are very pleased that our employees consider SIG one of the best places to work in Greater Baltimore. Our management team works hard to create an open and inclusive environment where everyone is valued and feels like an important member of the team."

This nomination comes on the heels of the company's recognition for its dedication in helping its employees become and stay healthier by being named Baltimore's Healthiest Employer by the Baltimore Business Journal in June.

The Best Places to Work contest included employee surveys, conducted by Quantum Workplace, which asked employees specifically what they like, and don't like, about their current employer. These surveys were then tabulated and given a numerical scores and the top scoring companies were named as finalists.

A luncheon will be held at the Camden Club at Oriole Park on September 20 where the winners of each company category will be announced. The categories are: Micro Businesses (10-20 employees); Small Businesses (21-100 employees); Midsize Businesses (101-500 employees); and Large Businesses (501+ employees). SIG has been nominated in the Small Business category.
