Brick Bodies Expanding Into Broad Street Market
The gym is taking the place of long closed Shopper's supermarket, next to J & J Alterations & Cleaning.
Though it's only a hop across Padonia Road, Brick Bodies is expanding its impressive foothold in Timonium to the Broad Street Market shopping center.
Gym members have known for awhile that owners Lynne and Victor Brick have been eyeing the move. A poster at one of Brick Bodies' gyms indicated that the new space would rival the size of MAC Timonium—Brick's closest competitor in the area.
A representative for Brick Bodies declined to comment Thursday, citing a need to finalize plans for a formal announcement next week.
The new gym space will be approximately 58,200 square feet in size—much larger than the 15,000 square foot property across Padonia Road, according to a Brick Bodies representative.
The new club will be larger than Brick Bodies biggest gym, which is currently their Reisterstown location (36,000 square feet).
Brick Bodies already has two locations in Timonium at 10803 Falls Road and 212 West Padonia Road.
Would the move entice you into joining the health center? Until Patch speaks with a Brick Bodies representative, we can only speculate on what changes will be made to the fitness club.
Clarification: The article has been updated to reflect the accurate size of the actual gym spaces, and not the property size in total as reflected on the Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation website.
