Police arrest a man suspected of committing a string of robberies in the area.

Baltimore County police arrested Kevin Murray, of the 400 block of West Market Street in York, in conjunction with a string of armed robberies in the area.

Murray, 48, was caught after a short chase that ended when he crashed his car on Reisterstown Road.

"The Department takes every crime very seriously, especially when it's a violent type crime. They take every step to identify and locate a suspect," Cpl. Mike Hill, a BCPD spokesman, said.

Murray was linked to the following crimes over the course over a two-week period, as reported by Patch:

Murray is suspected of also committing two gas station robberies with a handgun. He was caught after fleeing from the Maryland Line Inn on York Road, for which he was also charged with robbery on Dec. 26.

Murray has a preliminary hearing scheduled for 8:30 a.m. at the District Court of Baltimore County on Jan. 21.
