CRIME FOLLOW-UP: Serial Robber Apprehended
Police arrest a man suspected of committing a string of robberies in the area.
Baltimore County police arrested Kevin Murray, of the 400 block of West Market Street in York, in conjunction with a string of armed robberies in the area.
Murray, 48, was caught after a short chase that ended when he crashed his car on Reisterstown Road.
"The Department takes every crime very seriously, especially when it's a violent type crime. They take every step to identify and locate a suspect," Cpl. Mike Hill, a BCPD spokesman, said.
Murray was linked to the following crimes over the course over a two-week period, as reported by Patch:
- M&T Bank in Parkton Robbed, Dec. 22.
- Columbia Bank in Lutherville Robbed, Dec. 13
Murray is suspected of also committing two gas station robberies with a handgun. He was caught after fleeing from the Maryland Line Inn on York Road, for which he was also charged with robbery on Dec. 26.
Murray has a preliminary hearing scheduled for 8:30 a.m. at the District Court of Baltimore County on Jan. 21.
