Enrollment Projections: Lutherville-Timonium Public Schools

Patch breaks down the numbers of students expected to attend area public schools over the next 10 years.

 

It may come as no surprise that the most overcrowded school in Lutherville-Timonium in 2011 was Hampton Elementary School. But what about the remainder of the nine public schools that serve Timonium students? And what does the future look like for overcrowding issues?

The Baltimore County Public Schools system last week provided some answers.

A 10-year projection of enrollment growth shows a gradual increase in student population across most Baltimore County public schools, according to the report (see attached PDF document).

While issues at Hampton Elementary School have been resolved, the future of necessary school funding remains uncertain. To better gauge the need for expansion projects and renovations, concerned Lutherville-Timonium parents can refer to the charts below.
