Public Service Commission Holding Final BGE Hearing in Towson

The meeting will be Thursday at 7 p.m.

Residents who want to voice their concerns with how BGE handled June's Derecho storm event have one final chance at a public hearing scheduled for Thursday in Towson.

Thursday's meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in Hearing Room 106 of the Baltimore County Office Building, located at 111 West Chesapeake Avenue.

Members of the Maryland Public Service Commission will hear public comment from customers. This is the last in a series of hearings across central Maryland, which included meetings in Annapolis and Baltimore. A meeting in Ellicott City will be held tonight.

In Maryland, it took BGE eight days to restore power to the 748,000 customers whose service was knocked out, 62 percent of its statewide customer base.

Can’t make it to any of the hearings but have something to say? Send written comments by Sept. 10 to the Public Service Commission at 6 St. Paul St., 16th Floor, Baltimore, MD 21202.

Would love to know what BGE does with it's money. Oh that's right..it goes to Shattuck and his cronies for their golden parachutes and bonuses. It certainly is not going for maintaining or upgrading equipment or supply lines. The dividends have not gone up in the last 10 years when they were cut by 75% for a proposed merger that never happened. So when BGE goes for another rate hike don't blame the shareholders, they're in the dark too.
