Five homes were reported damaged by fallen trees in the Towson and Lutherville areas as a result of Friday's severe thunderstorms, according to a county spokesoman.

"No injuries reported," wrote Elise Armacost on Twitter.

One home was struck in the 600 block of Chestnut Avenue in West Towson, where an uprooted tree fell.

Baltimore Gas & Electric reports that 17,702 customers are without power as of 9:45 p.m. Friday, including 6,815 in Baltimore County. A BGE map shows many outages concentrated around central Baltimore County.

Flooding and traffic light outages continue in some parts of the county. On York Road, businesses and traffic lights are out of power between Seminary Avenue and York Road. BGE crews are working at the scene near a fallen tree on Seminary, near Pickett Road. Repairs could take up to four hours.

The storm's worst damage in the Baltimore area is in Harford County, where a possible tornado left buildings, power lines and vehicles tattered, mostly along U.S. Route 1 in the Fallston area.
