VIDEO: Creep Through the Timonium Scaregrounds Haunted Trail
Some people carve pumpkins to celebrate Halloween. Lutherville's Jokesters build elaborate haunted attractions for charity.
The threat of a tornado in North County wasn't scary enough for the 100+ brave souls who dared trek through the "bloody" mud that became the Timonium Scaregrounds Haunted Trail Friday night.
It was the second official outing for Steve Bauer and Marianne Wittlesberger, Lutherville's Jokesters, who transformed their Lutherville backyard into a nightmarish jaunt for Halloween lovers.
The Scaregrounds served as a fundraiser for the Lutherville Volunteer Fire Company, yielding hundreds for our local firefighters.
About 35 performers put the old saying "the show must go on" to task as an unseasonably warm October day turned to a dripping wet and windy October night. The same performers, aged pre-teen to adults, have stuck with the Jokesters through the original Scaregrounds, Towson classes and production of The Bone Garden.
The Timonium Scaregrounds have become a tradition in Lutherville, one that the Jokesters hope to continue in 2013... indoors.
Watch the video above for a good pre-Halloween fright.

I'm trying to figure out who works there, who are paying customers and who got drunk at Hightopps and wandered in looking for their car.
