A woman was struck by a car Monday night while attempting to cross York Road between Best Buy and Lutherville Laboratory Elementary. 

The woman was flown to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore in "serious condition," Fox 45 Baltimore reports.

Patch observed police cleaning garments and a purse from the roadway at around 6:30 p.m. Several police cruisers blocked off northbound traffic for about 45 minutes.
