(Brooklandville, Md.) – Renegade Productions and Leo McWatkins Films, producer of the award winning documentary, The Blood & The Rose, along with The Catholic Business Network of Baltimore (CBNB), today announced they will host an unforgettable spiritual event in honor of the feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe, featuring a lineup of inspiring Catholic speakers along with a screening of the award-winning documentary film, The Blood & The Rose. In addition to the screening of the film, distinguished speakers, including the Director of the film and local Baltimore businessman, Timothy Watkins, will deliver powerful messages on Our Lady of Guadalupe and the New Evangelization. Recent winner of two Telly Awards, The Blood & The Rose – directed by Timothy Watkins (In the Face of Evil), with Executive Producer, Steve McEveety (The Passion of the Christ), and narrated by Eduardo Verastegui (star of the movies Bella and For Greater Glory) – tells the complete story of the spread of Catholicism in the Americas as inspired by the miraculous appearance of the Virgin of Guadalupe to St. Juan DiegoThrough the film and the reflections being offered at these spiritual events, Leo McWatkins Films hopes to deliver Our Lady’s valuable message, which calls out to and encourages each of us to raise up as the next generation of ‘messenger eagles’ who will deliver the Gospel of Life, just as she did to St. Juan Diego.  The film also recently made its international debut at 2013 World Youth Day in Rio de Janeiro this July.

“We are more than excited to be able to share this film with the Brooklandville Community,” says Director Tim Watkins. “We are even more blessed to be working in conjunction with the Catholic Business Network on this highly anticipated spiritual event, which calls us to share this miraculous story with others and continues to remind us all that we are the next generation of messenger eagles. We must continue to spread the Word of God in order to make a difference in today’s world.”

Watkins, a devout Catholic, has created an impactful message that will aid in learning the complete story while enabling viewers to then share this miraculous story for the glory of God.
