The meeting will start at 7 p.m. at the Cockeysville library, located at 9833 Greenside Drive.

Hill will be touching on the proposed change in landlord/tenant law.

“His organization, the Public Justice Center, believes that current landlord/tenant law allows landlords too much latitude to evict tenants in cases where the tenant has previously filed a complaint against the landlord,” Eric Rockel, GTCC president said.

Surosky will be representing County Executive Kevin Kamenetz as a "direct liaison" with community and business groups for the central part of the county. She will discuss her role and the types of issues she can advocate for on behalf of the GTCC, according to Rockel.

In old business, the GTCC will discuss:

Councilman Todd Huff told Patch last week he expected developers to submit a new set of design plans for the senior-specific housing development soon.

Community members have twice voiced discontent with plans that have been submitted by J. Kirby Development, LLC.

In new business, the GTCC will discuss:

  • Mercy Medical Center’s new Timonium location.

“Mercy Medical is moving into the space formerly owned by Giant Foods on the southwest corner of Ridgely and York roads. This type of use is considered an ambulatory care facility by Baltimore County zoning regulations,” Rockel said. “The existing building is approximately one acre in size, and Mercy wants to add approximately 3,300 square feet of building area. They need some setback variances and the special exception in order proceed with their plan.”
