Police Announce Komen Race for the Cure Road Closures

The Baltimore County police released the following road closures for Sunday's annual Susan G. Komen Maryland Race for the Cure in Hunt Valley. 

Road closures are as follows:

• Shawan Road at York Road: no traffic will be permitted to travel westbound on Shawan Road after 6 a.m. At 7:30 a.m. all southbound traffic on York Road will only be allowed to go onto the Giant parking lot.
• Shawan Road at the entrance to the Hunt Valley Towne Centre (east entrance, across from Verizon): no traffic will be permitted to exit the Towne Centre parking lot after 6 a.m.
• Shawan Road at main entrance to Hunt Valley Towne Centre (near Light Rail): no traffic will be permitted to exit the Towne Centre parking lot after 6 a.m. Once the end of the race is on Schilling Road, eastbound Shawan Road will be opened.
• Shawan Road at McCormick Road: no traffic will be permitted to enter Shawan Road from McCormick Road. Pedestrians will be assisted in crossing. All eastbound traffic on Shawan Road from northbound I-83 will be directed to turn left onto McCormick Road. Traffic from southbound I-83 entering eastbound Shawan Road will be directed to turn left onto International Drive
• McCormick Road at International Circle: traffic will be directed from eastbound International Circle left on McCormick Road. No traffic will be permitted to turn right onto McCormick Road towards Shawan Road. McCormick southbound will be closed between International Circle and Shawan Road.
• Westbound Shawan Road ramp to northbound I-83: pedestrians will be assisted along Shawan Road.
• Westbound Shawan Road at ramp from northbound I-83: pedestrians will be assisted along Shawan Road.
• Westbound Shawan Road at ramp to southbound I-83: pedestrians will be assisted along Shawan Road.
• Eastbound Shawan Road at ramp to northbound I-83: pedestrians will be assisted along Shawan Road.
• Eastbound Shawan Road at ramp from southbound I-83: pedestrians will be assisted along Shawan Road.
• McCormick Road at Schilling Circle: at 6 a.m. no vehicles will be permitted to travel northbound on McCormick Road. At 7:30 a.m. no vehicles will be permitted on Schilling Road and McCormick Road.
• Eastbound Shawan Road ramp from northbound I-83: pedestrians will be assisted along Shawan Road.
• York Road at Schilling Road will close at 7:30 a.m. No vehicles will be permitted to travel northbound on York Road.
• York Road at Ashland Road will close at 7:45 a.m. No vehicles will be permitted to travel on northbound York Road. The northbound York Road slow lane from Ashland to Shawan will be coned off. This lane will be used to allow traffic to travel northbound after race participants pass.
• Schilling Circle exit to the rear of Burger King (access road) will close at 7:45 a.m.
• Schilling Road at Pepper Road will close at 6 a.m. Pepper Road will be closed at Schilling Road. No vehicles will be permitted to enter Schilling Road from Pepper Road.
• McCormick Road at Schilling Circle at Light Rail tracks will close at 6 a.m. No vehicles will be permitted to travel northbound on McCormick Road. All vehicles coming out of Schilling Circle will be directed to go southbound on McCormick Road.
• McCormick at Wight Avenue will close at 6 a.m. No vehicles will be permitted to travel northbound on McCormick Road. Beaver Dam Road at McCormick Road will close at 7 a.m. No vehicles will be permitted to travel northbound on McCormick Road. All vehicles will be directed to Beaver Dam Road toward Gilroy Road. All vehicles coming from eastbound Beaver Dam Road will be directed right onto Beaver Dam Road toward Warren Road
• Beaver Dam Road at Gilroy Road will close at 6 a.m. No vehicles will be permitted to travel northbound on Gilroy Road.
• Warren Road westbound from York Road to McCormick Road will be closed at 6:45 a.m.
• Beaver Dam Road at Ivy Hill Road will close at 7:30 a.m. No vehicles will be permitted to travel on Beaver Dam Road east of Ivy Hill Road with the exception of the following:
  
  • Hunt Valley Church
  • Louis Edward Court
  • Ivy Hill Court
  • Addresses between 13030 and 13109 Beaver Dam Road
• Beaver Dam Road at Cockeysville Road will close at 7:30 a.m. No vehicles will be permitted to travel northbound on Beaver Dam Road. All vehicles will be directed onto Cockeysville Road.
