Timonium Church Undergoes Worship Transitions

The Church of the Nativity pastors' book "Rebuilt: Awakening the Faithful, Reaching the Lost and Making Church Matter," is reviewed in 'Baltimore Sun' article.

A Timonium church and its pastors' book about how the church modernized transformed its worship methods, were mentioned recently in The Baltimore Sun.

Church of the Nativity's the Rev. Michael White, and Tom Corcoran, associate to the pastor, wrote "Rebuilt: Awakening the Faithful, Reaching the Lost, and Making Church Matter," that was published last month.

The book "tells the compelling story of change and growth in this local Catholic parish," according to an announcement published Feb. 21 in Lutherville-Timonium Patch.

The Sun article gives an overview of the book, and some of the steps the church took in their transition, including adding a praise band, developing small groups in which parishioners can interact, and offering child care.

It's all in an effort to bring back to church "that person who has not been attending Mass," the article states.
