Vintage Lutherville-Timonium: The Midway

Now that spring has sprung, despite yesterday's wintry weather, we turn our eyes ahead to summer.

Warm weather, goin' 'downy' ocean, and of course that long-held tradition: the Maryland State Fair.

The photo attached to this article, taken in 1908, shows people walking along the midway of the Maryland State Fair which, even then, was held at what we know as the fairgrounds in Timonium.
