Wings Over Maryland Museum Fundraiser
The Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation Museum, located at Martin State Airport is holding its annual fundraiser dinner and silent auction on September 29, 2012 at the Sparrows Point Country Club. Music for the evening is being provided by the Ellis Woodward Trio. Proceeds from this event assist in supporting the Museum's education and archival programs and the aircraft restoration projects. This cultural and educational facility has been serving the region for twenty-two years collecting, preserving, exhibiting and interpreting Maryland's aviation history. Its education programs for schools use the excitement of flight to inspire students for achieving in their learning endeavors. When visiting the Museum, visitors of all ages are invited to capture a memory and launch a dream as they sit in the cockpit of a jet plane and visit the new exhibit on World War II Martin Company employees. Community support for Wings Over Maryland by a sold out attendance will help the Museum continue offering its services to all ages and will help it preserve the state's aviation history for future generations.
