When fans first saw the trailer for The Hunger Games, perhaps the most striking visual (aside from the 10-second countdown to iminent danger) was the posh, pink look of Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinket.

Banks spent three hours a day in a makeup chair through weeks of filming to create the unqiue — high-concept — look of the capital city of Panem.
