No Fireworks Again this Year at College Manor

A community bonfire is planned in autumn 2013 instead, said owner Bunny Renaud.

Last year College Manor did not host its annual fireworks event. And this year will be the second in a row without the popular event.

"We would entertain the return of the celebration for the following year if we can get a neighborhood committee for planning and supplemental funding of the event," said owner Bunny Renaud in a message to Lutherville-Timonium Patch, referring to the year 2014.

College Manor is an assisted living and retirement home community in the heart of Historic Lutherville. It announced on its Facebook page last week that the event, again, will not take place.

"This will not be the year fireworks return because of all the improvements we are working on," the company said, responding to a fan's inquiry about whether there will be fireworks this summer.

An autumn event is planned, however, Renaud said in her statement to Patch.

"In the meantime we are planning a neighborhood bonfire in the fall as our community event," she said.
