Brotman Financial Group Wins 2014 Maryland Business Breakthrough Award
Brotman Financial Group, Inc., a financial planning and wealth management company, announced today that it was awarded a 2014 Maryland Business Breakthrough Award by the Maryland Chamber of Commerce. Brotman Financial Group was selected over three other finalists in the 1-10 employees category. This year’s winners were announced at a luncheon held May 29 at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen.
Brotman Financial Group was recognized for its significant growth in recent months, having finished 2013 with a 43 percent increase in revenue and a 319 percent increase in profit over 2012. The firm has also nearly doubled its full-time staff since 2012 and in 2013, moved into a new headquarters in Timonium that is more than twice the size of its former space. According to the Fusion Advisor Network, a membership organization that includes some of the top independent financial advisory practices across the country, Eric Brotman was the #1 advisor out of 260 in terms of revenue in 2013. Additionally, the Brotman Financial Group team of advisors ranked 12th among 1,200 advisors nationwide by NFP Advisor Services.

The Maryland Chamber of Commerce, along with its local chamber and association partners, established this awards program in 2001 to recognize the excellence in innovation, growth and entrepreneurial spirit of Maryland’s small businesses. Renamed the Maryland Business Breakthrough Awards in 2013, the recognition is presented based on company size, growth and innovation, competitiveness in the market and contributions to the community.
