Lutherville National Kidney Foundation of Maryland

The Lutherville National Kidney Foundation of Maryland (NKF-MD) has announced that the following individuals have joined the board of directors and begun serving three-year terms:

Andrew Franklin, CEO of Norris Automotive, has 15 years industry experience. A Towson University graduate, he received the 2011 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year – Maryland Award.  

John Zipp, a regional vice president for business development with Transamerica, has eight years industry experience and a bachelor’s degree from Towson University. In addition to serving on NKF-MD’s Baltimore Kidney Walk Revenue Committee, he is active with Knights of Columbus.

Paul Grill, a former partner with First Annapolis Consulting, Inc., has 20 years experience in banking and financial technology. He earned a bachelor’s degree in management from Binghamton University and an MBA from Northwestern University. A Kidney Walk volunteer and Rappel for Kidney Health participant, he also volunteers at Grace Community Church, the Howard County Food Bank and the Soccer Association of Columbia as a coach.

Helen B. Kouhi, a nephrology specialist with Questcor, has 17 years industry experience. A recipient of the RN Educator of Excellence Award from the LPN Board of Nursing in Washington, DC, Kouhi earned a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University and a nursing degree from Thomas Edison State College. In addition to volunteering at NKF-MD’s KEY (Kidneys: Evaluate Yours) health screenings and supporting the Foundation’s various fundraising events, she is active in the Medical Surgical Nursing Association, American Nurses Association and Maryland Nurses Association.

Brigitte Sullivan, administrative director of the Johns Hopkins Comprehensive Transplant Center, has 20 years industry experience and an MBA from Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business. A long-time partner of NKF-MD, she has provided professional collaboration through patient assistance and research initiatives, and volunteered with events such as Kidney Walk and Rappel for Kidney Health, which she chaired this year (and also rappelled for the fourth time).  

Bettina McDavid, PHR, is the director of talent acquisition for McCormick & Co., Inc. She brings over 15 years of progressive experience in the space of talent acquisition, executive search, Internet recruiting, employment branding and pipeline development. Previously, she performed executive level recruiting for Ernst & Young, managed recruiting for SC&H Group and spent seven years leading the talent acquisition strategies for the Mid-Atlantic region of McGladrey. A Roanoke College graduate, she speaks German fluently and holds a Professional in Human Resources certification.

C. Bradford Wright, a portfolio manager with Capital Finance, LLC, has seven years industry experience. A Franklin and Marshall University graduate, Wright serves on the committee for NKF-MD’s Liberty Mutual Invitational golf tournament. 

The National Kidney Foundation of Maryland, serving central and western Maryland, the Delmarva Peninsula and portions of West Virginia, is the area’s only voluntary health agency dedicated to the prevention, treatment and cure of kidney and urinary tract diseases.
