Baltimore County Farmers' Market Returns to Timonium Fairgrounds

The Baltimore County Farmers' Market has started up at the Timonium Fairgrounds for its 14th year.

The market runs on Wednesdays until October 30, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., according to the fairgrounds website. It will feature approximately 10 local farmers and producers including Albright Farms, Hills Forest Fruit Farm, One Straw Farm, Prigel's Family Creamery, Quite a Stir, Warns Produce and White House Nursery.

"Our market is unique in that it is exclusively run by Baltimore County farmers with high-quality Baltimore County raised produce and more," Bill Langlotz, manager for the market, said on the website. "A variety of fresh in-season fruit and vegetables starting with strawberries, asparagus, spinach, lettuce, spring onions and more will be available each week. Chicken, beef, eggs, honey, ice cream and baked goods are just a few of the other featured local items. It makes me hungry just to talk about it."

The market is located at the north side of the fairgrounds digital sign, with free parking at the main gate, according to the website. Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP), WIC Fruit & Vegetable and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Stamps will be accepted.

During the Maryland State Fair, from August 23 to September 2, the market will be open everyday from noon to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday through Labor Day Monday. The vendors will rotate throughout the week.
