BGE: Non-Working Traffic Signals Should be Treated as Stop Signs

Three Lutherville-Timonium intersections are without fully-functional traffic signals after Hurricane Irene.

Baltimore Gas and Electric wants its customers to know that all non-working traffic signals—including those affected by power outages—should be treated as stop signs until they are repaired. 

"Traffic lights are also a priority for us and are being worked as part of our overall strategy to address public safety and critical infrastructure issues first," Linda Foy, BGE spokeswoman, said. "We are still in the process of addressing these issues which include traffic lights."

There are reportedly three intersections without working signal in Lutherville-Timonium:

  • West Ridgely Road and Kurtz Avenue
  • Seminary Avenue at Falls Road 
  • Timonium Road and Eastridge Road 
  • Charmuth Road and East Ridgely Road
