It's time to celebrate the Christmas season.

Santa Comes to Town

When/where: Saturday, Dec. 17, throughout the Lutherville neighborhoods.

Why: Did you know that in his spare time Santa Claus is a ? Need proof? Hang out around the Lutherville neighborhoods on Dec. 17 when he’ll drive his old fashioned fire truck through the town.

Lutherville Community Association Holiday Party

When/where: Sunday, Dec. 18, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Spangler Hall in the

Why: Santa is on the guest list and we’re sure he’s looking forward to the cookie baking contest and exchange. There will be games such as mystery stocking, pin-the-hat on the snowman and the dreidel. Hot chocolate and other snacks will be served.

Holiday House Decorating Contest

When/where: Sunday, Dec. 18, in Lutherville.

Why: For the spirit of Christmas! Or the prizes. Your choice. First place gets a gift pack donated by FX Studio’s, worth over $240. Second place gets a $75 gift card to . Third place receives a gift card for! Time to start breaking out the lights!

Holiday Caroling

When/where: Sunday, Dec. 18, at 6:30 p.m., meeting at Spangler Hall at the St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Why: Love to sing? Can’t find friends to tolerate your rendition of “O' Holy Night”? The good people of Lutherville will welcome you with open arms. Music sheets will be provided, but please bring flashlights, scarves and mittens.

The Park School Parents’ Association Holiday Craft Fair

When/where: Thursday, Dec. 1, from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Park School.

Why: Creative gifts are sure to be plentiful!

Kindertime Block Party

When/where: Saturday, Dec. 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at

Why: It’s a day of fun to celebrate Maryland’s first responders. Fire trucks, police cars and military vehicles will keep the children entertained, as well as the Critters for a Cause will also be there to meet and greet the community. Did we mention there will be prizes? Bring an unwrapped, new toy to benefit the Kindertime Toy Drive and become eligible to win a family four pack of tickets to see the Harlem Globetrotters on Dec. 30.
