Overturned Vehicle Pinned Under Tanker Along I-83

Reportedly, driver had to be extricated from vehicle. Backup stretched to Seminary Avenue bridge crossing.

A car headed northbound along I-83 in Cockeysville was overturned and pinned under a tanker after the car was involved in a collision with another vehicle.

The left lane has been opened to drivers who were snarled in a backup stretching from Warren and Padonia roads to just north of the beltway.

State Highway Administration spokesman David Buck said he was surprised that the accident "wasn't too severe," and that traffic is now running fairly smoothly again.
