Timonium Man and Daughter Participate in Shootout for Soldiers Event

The event raised $126,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project.

A Timonium father and daughter team paired up to participate in the Shootout for Soldiers, a fundraiser for the Wounded Warriors Project. 

The event, held  June 14, featured a 24-hour lacrosse game broken up into mini one-hour games with a total of 48 teams participating, according to a news release. 

John Darlington, a financial advisor, and his daughter Lucy Darlington, a senior at Notre Dame Preparatory School, took part in the second annual Shootout at McDonough School in Owings Mills, the release states. John Darlington was part of a 45 years of age and older team while Lucy Darlington played with fellow Notre Dame students. 

The event raised $126,000—a $21,000 increase from the previous year. 

Shootout for Soldiers was started by former Boy's Latin School student Tyler Steinhardt, the release states.
