Spring Faire Folk Festival Sunday, April 27, 12-5

Sherwood Farm Entrance. The Spring Faire is a free event for all ages hosted by the Baltimore Folk Music Society in partnership with the Cromwell Valley Park Council. Many of the dancing, singing, and storytelling events welcome and encourage participation by all who wish to join--no prior experience needed. Join in the many impromptu jam sessions around the park, sing with zest in a variety of singing workshops, dance around the maypole at noon, peruse or buy hand crafted items, and bring a picnic or purchase food from vendors and enjoy a picnic on the front lawn of the Sherwood House. Schedule of workshops, dance, music, and main stage events  is posted on the BFMS website.
Music includes Bulgarian, Irish, Klezmer, Ladino, Hawaiian ukelele, gospel, folk, old-timey and more. We are excited to have 55 singers from the American Kodaly Children's Chorus! Two hours of storytelling!Ukelele and old-timey jams, bouzouki and nickelharpa performances too!  Participatory dance includes international, Scandinavian, international, clogging, American squares and contras, English country dancing, and French waltzes. Something for everyone! (
