The 37th Annual Steam Show

Run under the cascades of water as the 1899 Steam-powered Fire Engine flows up to 500 gallons a minute! 

The Fire Museum in Lutherville opens the summer season with the 37th Annual Steam Show, Saturday, May 3rd, 2014, 10 - 2 p.m.See how fire engines operated in the 1800's and learn about the history of the fire service. New this year, visitors can try pumping an 1880’s Hand Pumper. The show features Dalmatians and teams of draft horses, demonstrations of late-1800's horse-drawn fire engines, and rides in an 1898 hose wagon.  In addition, there are firefighting contests for the kids and working steam-engine models.  Pringle’s Creamery Ice Cream on sale.

The Museum is open 10 – 4 pm on Saturdays, May to December. Summer hours:   10 – 4 pm June through August from Wednesday to Saturday. Events outside are free.  

Museum Admission is: Children (2-18) $5, Adults $12, Seniors and Firefighters $10. The Fire Museum is located one block north of the Baltimore Beltway, Exit 26B, at 1301 York  Road, Lutherville.  Free car and bus parking.
