The Arc Baltimore Employers of Distinction Awards Reception

The
Arc Baltimore will honor five Baltimore area organizations for providing
meaningful employment opportunities to persons with intellectual and
developmental disabilities when it holds its annual Employers of Distinction
Awards Reception.

To
take place on Wednesday, October 23, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at the Crowne
Plaza (2004 Greenspring Drive, Timonium, MD), Employers of Distinction will
recognize Little Caesars Pizza, Steel and Wire Products Company, and
Charlestown for consistently demonstrating that employing individuals with
intellectual and developmental disabilities has contributed to their success.

In
addition, The Arc Baltimore will present its Partners of Distinction Award to
Port Discovery Children’s Museum and Gilman School. The Partnership Awards

“These
organizations have made it possible for particular achievement and success for
supported workers from The Arc whom they employ,” Morgan continues. “They have
committed both the time and the resources that enable individuals with
intellectual and developmental disabilities to be productive and confident
members of the workforce, setting a tremendous example that inspires the entire
business community to do the same.”

Secretary
of the Maryland Department of Transportation James Smith will deliver keynote
remarks, adding to the honors.

 The
Employers of Distinction Awards Reception will feature hors d’oeuvres and an
