Charm City Massage Grand Opening

Timonium, MD- Charm City Massage is officially open for business. The Open House on June 1st announced the grand opening of Charm City Massage allowing owner and practitioner Geoff Pritchard to publicize that he is now taking on clients in the Baltimore area.  

The Open House was a celebration of what has been nine years in the making. Massage therapist and personal trainer Geoff Pritchard created the business to address the need for therapeutic bodywork that combines muscular therapy and corrective movement. In his practice, Geoff focuses on his client’s ability to activate and engage their muscles in new postural positions. "Without integrating the work", says Geoff, "the results don't stay with the client and the body loses the opportunity to adapt the new pattern in the central nervous system”. What stands out about Geoff's practice compared to a standard relaxation massage is his emphasis on teaching the clients what they can do to enforce the corrective therapy they just received. 

Geoff earned his personal training certification in 2004 and worked for small studios and corporate wellness companies until he graduated from massage school in 2007. His first venture, Move Free Massage, was located in the neighborhood of Jamaica Plain in Boston. His new practice, Charm City Massage, combines a treatment space for muscular therapy and a movement room for corrective exercise and movement assessment. Geoff notes, "I love having the ability to see clients move before and after each session. The results can be profound when people notice the difference their bodies made in just sixty minutes".
