NEW BLOG: An Introduction and an Invitation to Dogfest
Hi! I'm Janet. Here's what I care about and a fun suggestion for letting the "fur fly" this weekend!
Hi! I'm Janet. Lots of you know me since I've been hanging around these parts my whole life (let's just say it's been a while...).
I'm on various topics that have affected me and probably affect you in ways you may or may not realize. By raising awareness, talking about these things, and then taking action, we can make this world a better place for those who cannot necessarily advocate for themselves, be they human or animal.
In that spirit, I want to encourage you to visit Baltimore Humane Society's Dogfest at the shelter's beautiful wooded location this Saturday. This is their primary fundraiser for the year and the animals need our support. BHS does a great job taking in homeless animals and caring for them until they can find loving, forever homes. The shelter is no-kill and they have recently remodeled all their animal areas, so it is a happy place to visit! Dogfest runs 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. this Saturday and the weather forecast is great! Hope to see you there! (And bring your dog!)
