The Pride of Baltimore Chorus: The Original American Idol To Perform Next Week
Put on your inner "Gleek" and watch some of your neighbors sing and dance their hearts out for an international medal!
Did you know that there was such a thing as competitive singing long before American Idol and The Sing-Off?
Sweet Adelines International, and their male counterpart, The Barbershop Harmony Society, have been doing it for years! One of the great things about these organizations is that they give ordinary people like you and me a chance to excel in this art form and have a crazy amount of fun doing it!
Next week, The Pride of Baltimore Chorus, along with 33 other choruses and dozens of quartets from all over the world will be competing for medals (and bragging rights) in Houston, TX. Pride of Baltimore will have 97 members on stage, including six or seven from the Lutherville-Timonium area (and me!) Best of all (for you!) all four days of competition will be webcast for free!

You can see Pride of Baltimore's six-minute performance starting at 11:58 EST on Thursday morning. If they score in the top 10, they will compete in the finals on Saturday. (Time TBD).
