THINK FIREWORKS SAFETY!
With the Fourth of July only a week away, it's time to think about not only grilling and water safety but fireworks safety as well.
If you are using Maryland legal sparklers as part of your holiday celebration, be sure to keep these tips in mind:
Purchase fireworks only from a reputable merchant.
Fireworks and alcohol do not mix! Let a sober adult do the lighting.
Never let children use fireworks unless they are under the close supervision of an adult.
Light fireworks away from spectators and buildings.
Keep a bucket of water or a garden hose handy.
Be sure to wear safety glasses.
And when the show is over, be sure to drench all used fireworks with water, place them in a covered fireproof container, and store them away from buildings and flammable objects.
Following the above common sense tips for a safe and exciting holiday celebration!
