Goldberg's is head and shoulders about EVERY other bagel outlet in the State of Maryland. On a scale of 10, they rate a 12. THB, on the other hand, is a sandwich shop that serves sandwiches on bagel-like objects...but their "bagels" are true bagels in name only. Since Goldberg's is a kosher shop, you will not find any ham, bacon, or any other non-kosher items on their menu and some will consider that a drawback. I go to a bagel shop to get BAGELS, not bagel-like objects. If I want to have a sandwich consisting of bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel, I'll buy a Goldberg's bagel, bring it home, prepare my egg, bacon, and cheese and enjoy a delicious sandwich that is NOT SERVED on waxed paper. For those seeking a REAL BAGEL, Goldberg's is the place to go. If you want to PRETEND that you are eating a bagel, then go to THB. In the interests of honesty, I want everyone to know that I am IN NO WAY affilliated with or part owner of Goldberg's (unlike the schlub who owns THB and gave his place a 5 star rating in the Dining and Eating section of this web site.)

Bagels, Bagels everywhere on York Road (6 in total) but the best are at Goldberg's. Sorry all you other bagel pretenders you can't beat the bagel king of Baltimore.

OK--I am a Goldberg fan all the way down the line. Great bagels and other wonderful things. But with all the excitement about the dueling bagel stores, no one seemed to notice another opening in the heart of our area. Raimondi's and Yia Yia have turned an former bank/former diner into an oasis of flowers and sweets. Let's hear some nice things for our new neighbors. Their bakery case is like a jewel box. So many calories, so little time.

I drove past the store th other day and I did not know if they were open. Yia Yia's has a HUGE shop on Reisterstown Road. How about it Patch? Let's see inside this store.

I went to Goldberg's today. Not impressed. No menu on the wall and the staff was chatting and did not wait on me for several minutes. They also could not figure out how to redeem a gift card. The bagels were good except for the fact they didn't put two of the ones I ordered into my bag. So far, I am not impressed with this bagel shop.

Goldbergs taste like what I think a bagel should taste like. It is chewy, correct amount of salt and hint of sweet. Towson taste more like a dinner roll to me. Towson is also over priced to me.
