2 Women Arrested in Timonium Massage Parlor Raids

Baltimore County police executed search warrants against two local spas on Aug. 22.

Baltimore County police arrested two women Thursday for allegedly running massage parlors in Timonium without licenses. One proprietor also was charged with prostitution.

Police executed a search warrant on two Timonium spas on Aug. 22, according to police spokeswoman Cpl. Cathy Batton. County police were joined in the raids by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, she added. 

Yan Gao, of Flushing, NY, was charged with two counts of prostitution and one count of practicing massage therapy without a license, online court records show. Gao, 41, was arrested for alleged illegal activity at York Spa, in the 2000 block of York Road in Timonium.

Wen Qun Chen, also of Flushing, NY, was charged with practicing massage therapy without a license at Victoria Spa, in the 1500 block of York Road.

Police are not aware of any connection between the two women, despite previous addresses that are less than a mile apart.

Both women posted bail set at $3,500 and were released.

Trial dates for the two women have been scheduled for Dec. 3, at 8:30 a.m. in Towson.
