One Killed in I-83 Ejection Near Cold Spring Lane
Traffic was jammed on I-83 south Friday morning after the fatal crash.
A man died in a crash on Interstate 83 when he was ejected from his vehicle near Cold Spring Lane Friday morning, according to reports.
Duvall Stokes, 23, was headed south on I-83 past the Cold Spring Lane exit when he hit a jersey wall and was thrown from his vehicle, according to WJZ.
He was ejected over the walls of the highway near the Pepsi sign, The Baltimore Sun reported.
Two southbound lanes of I-83 remained closed at 8:30 a.m. on Friday near Cold Spring Lane, according to highway officials,
WBAL recommended taking Charles Street, Roland Avenue, Reisterstown Road, St. Paul and Park Heights as alternate routes, since other areas were also congested due to drivers bailing out.
By 9:40 a.m. all lanes had reopened on I-83 south.
