CRIME: 2 Boys Robbed at Gunpoint in Cockeysville

Not only that, but, do 15 year old kids really need $500 phones which are on the top of every petty thieves hit list? This sort of thing will only get worse until they bulldoze Apartmentland.

@Other Tim - It's a segue to this story: http://patch.com/A-0SBV - which was published a little over an hour after the one above. For a little more of a clarification, every Monday I post the crime logs for both Hunt Valley-Cockeysville Patch and Lutherville-Timonium Patch. If there are more severe crimes to report (like children or store clerks being robbed), I break them out of the log itself and post them as separate stories so they won't be overlooked by my audience. Patch sites update multiple times a day and that line was meant as a reminder to check back with the site frequently. I hope that explains what kind of reporting I do. Thanks for reading! - Nick D

A 14 and 15 year old being out at 2:30 a.m. on any night tells me that they should actually be referred to as "thugs in training" and quite possibly "criminals who have not yet had their first arrest". Hey, they were probably "learning the trade" when they were, most likely, associating with the other thugs who "robbed" them. I would even be willing to guess that the iPhone 5 they were carrying was either (pick one or more): 1. freshly stolen from a vehicle break in, or 2. purchased with money gained by the sale of illegal drugs by either them or their "parents".
I'm willing to bet you that these "at risk youths" were close associates of the "robbers" and this incident is now a "test" to determine if the thugs-in-training will become snitches-in-training and turn over on their older companions. It is common knowledge to the police that minors are used as "stooges" to commit crimes that the older thugs have trained and encouraged them to commit because as minors they will receive a slap on the wrist (make that a light tap on the wrist) before being released to their "concerned parents" for rehabilitation.
