CRIME LOG: Lutherville Woman Burglarizes Cockeysville Hotel
The following information regarding police activity in Lutherville-Timonium, Cockeysville, Hunt Valley and North County was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department.

We've mashed both Lutherville-Timonium and Hunt Valley-Cockeysville Patch's police blotters together. Why? Because there were a whopping three major crimes reported between Lutherville and the Pennsylvania state line last week.

That's the good news. The better news? Based on the hyped-up snowstorm coming our way, we should see a second week of minimal crime stats. I say this based on experience with three years' worth of covering crime logs.

That said, there were three burglaries last week. Nothing was stolen in any of the cases; however, a Lutherville woman was arrested for causing a ruckus at a local hotel.
Lutherville-Timonium
Deep Dale Drive, 200 block, between 6:30 and 9:30 p.m., March 1. A burglar removed the rear basement window screen frame to break into a Timonium home. The burglar walked out through the basement door without taking or disturbing anything.
Cockeysville, Hunt Valley, North County
Beaver Dam Road, 10700 block, 1:55 and 1:59 p.m., Feb. 26. A Lutherville-Timonium woman was arrested for breaking into the Chase Suite Hotel. Phyllis Jean Kavanagh, of Tudor Court, reportedly broke the front window of a motel room before “crawling” inside, according to police incident reports. Kavanagh, 51, was charged with third-degree burglary and malicious destruction of property exceeding $500 in damage.
West Liberty Road, 20300 block, between 7 and 9:20 p.m., Feb. 26. A burglar entered a White Hall home and turned on a CD player. There were no signs of forced entry. Nothing was reported stolen.
