CRIME LOG: Several Assaults Reported in Lutherville-Timonium, Surrounding Areas Last Week

Burglaries and robberies were also committed, according to incident reports filed at the Baltimore County Police Department, Precinct 7.

Assaults, burglaries and robberies were reported in Lutherville-Timonium and the surrounding areas last week. 

Concerned citizens disrupted several of the reported crimes, at times at the cost of a physical altercation. 

The Patch crime log is compiled from incidents reports filed at the Baltimore County Police Department, Precinct 7 in Cockeysville.

The following incidents took place between Feb. 7 and Feb. 13:

Burglary: An unknown suspect entered an apartment in the 13800 block of York Road in Cockeysville on Feb. 13. The suspect stole $9 in change from the victim’s dresser.

Assault: A man was stabbed in the shoulder on Feb. 12 in the 100 block of West Timonium Road on Feb. 12. The victim noticed a man trying to break into a car. The two engaged in a verbal argument, which quickly escalated into a fight. The suspect fled on foot.

Robbery: A man snatched a woman’s purse in the 1800 block of York Road on Feb. 11. The woman was pushed to the ground. The suspect ran away across a parking lot. A purse, wallet, credit cards and checkbook were stolen. The suspect is described as a white male 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet 5 inches to 10 inches tall with a thin build.

Burglary: A burglar alarmed a homeowner in the 800 block of Glencoe Road in Sparks on Feb. 9. The victim heard the suspect enter her home, locked herself in her room and yelled for the burglar to leave. A BGE bill was stolen.

Assault: Two men got into a fight after engaging in a heated argument caused by a minor traffic incident at the intersection of West Padonia and Greenpoint roads in Timonium on Feb. 9. One of the men suffered scrapes, bumps and cuts to his forearm after the other man swung at him with a knife. The suspect is described as a white male in his mid 20s, standing about 6 feet tall.

Burglary: An unknown suspect broke in through the rear door of a home in the 20900 block of York Road on Feb. 9. The burglar ransacked the house and stole jewelry, money, papers, a camera, a handgun and a four-wheeler.

Attempted Burglary: A would-be burglar set off an alarm to a home in the 900 block of Mt. Carmel Road on Feb. 9. The victim later discovered a broken kitchen window. Nothing was stolen.

Burglary: A burglar broke a kitchen window to gain entry into an apartment in the 10300 block of Malcolm Circle in Cockeysville on Feb. 8. The suspect stole Canon camera equipment and an Apple TV. 

Attempted Burglary: Neighbors shouted at would-be burglars, disrupting an attempt to enter a garage in the unit block of Holly Berry Court in Glen Arm on Feb. 8. The suspects ran to their dark-colored four-door car and drove away.

Assault: An intoxicated victim re-entered his Cockeysville apartment in the 10300 block of Gelding Drive when his roommates noted he had been stabbed in the side on Feb. 7. The victim could not give further details.

Attempted Robbery: A black male approached a man sitting in the backseat of his friend’s car in the 100 block of Shawan Road in Hunt Valley on Feb. 7. The suspect demanded money, but the driver quickly started the car and drove away. Nothing was taken. The suspects are described as a black male, 17 to 22 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 145 pounds with a dark complexion and medium build. The other suspect was a white male between 17 and 22 years old.
