CRIME: Walgreen's Cashier Robbed by Man With Crowbar

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

York Road, 2300 block, between Aug. 17 and 18. Someone tried to break into the consignment shop Waist Not Want Not with some kind of pry tool. No items were stolen.

Misty Wood Circle, unit block, Aug. 16. A 22-year-old man broke into a woman’s apartment by breaking her kitchen window.  He was later found by the woman, sleeping in her bed. The woman told police that she and the intruder were “acquaintances.”  No charges were filed.

York Road, 1800 block, Aug. 15, 1:05 a.m. A young man robbed the with a 4-foot crowbar. The suspect entered the store, picked up a bag of candy and waited at the counter for the clerk. As the clerk approached the counter the robber pulled a white mask over his face and told her to empty the register.

The suspect then pulled a 4-foot crowbar that was hidden in his pants and brandished it in a threatening manner. The clerk empty the register into a bag the suspect had brought with him. He was last seen headed eastbound on foot on Ridgely Road.

Greenspring Drive, 1900 block, between 3:30 and 3:39 a.m. on Aug. 13. Cash and a water conditioner were stolen from Northeastern Supply.

Broad Avenue, 2400 block, between 8 p.m. on Aug. 12 and 7:42 a.m. on Aug. 13. A burglar broke into by prying open the rear door. The suspect then broke through the drywall into the adjacent and again into the Image Is Salon. Nothing was reported stolen.
