CRIME: Timonium Unofficially Surpasses 100 Burglaries in 2012

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Timonium unofficially surpassed 100 reported burglaries in 2012, over the weekend.

Below we've included one entry from North County due the nature of crimes reported in Cockeysville last week.

Crime Log:

Holly Ridge Court, 2000 block, between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Nov. 16. A burglar stole a Toshiba laptop and a 42-inch Samsung flat screen television. The intruder smashed the rear basement sliding door to get inside.

Deereco Road, 9600 block, 1:20 a.m., Nov. 18. An armored door and Venetian blinds prevented a burglar from robbing Ricardo’s Gems and Jewelry. A burglar used an undetermined tool to smash through the front door of the jewelry shop. The intruder however could not break through the reinforced door leading to the foyer. The suspect then tried to break through a window but “got caught” in the business’s Venetian blinds.

Franke Avenue, 1400 block, 1 p.m., between Nov. 17 and 11:30 a.m., Nov. 18. A burglar forced open a basement door before rummaging through jewelry boxes, while the homeowner was out of town. It is unknown what was taken.

From North County:

Paper Mill Road, 2500 block, between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m, Nov. 16. A burglar took advantage of an unlocked door by stealing a sunburst yellow Gibson Les Paul guitar.
