Husband Charged in Monkton Woman's Murder: Baltimore County Police
The family dog was also shot and killed, police said.
A Monkton man has been charged with first-degree murder after police found his wife dead in their home on Monday, the Baltimore County Police Department reported.
Glen Henry Treslar, 82, of the 16500 block of Garfield Avenue, is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center, police said.
At 3:07 p.m. on Monday, police responded to the Treslar residence after a family friend who was concerned there was something wrong called 911, according to the report from police.

Treslar told officers he had just shot his wife, Yvonne Treslar, 78, who was on the bedroom floor with multiple gunshot wounds, according to police. She was pronounced dead at the scene, the report stated.
Treslar said he and his wife had an argument earlier in the day, the report stated.

He did not elaborate on the nature of the argument or on what happened to the family dog, found shot to death in the kitchen, according to police.
A preliminary hearing regarding the first-degree murder charge is scheduled for May 2 in Baltimore County District Court.
