Lutherville-Timonium Crime: 5 Businesses Targeted for Burglary

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

West Padonia Road, 300 block, at 4:15 p.m. on May 3. A public demonstration to protest the War in Afghanistan was organized by individuals in the group "Pledge of Resistance."

York Road, 1400 block, between 7:40 p.m. on May 3 and 3:30 a.m. on May 4. Loose change was stolen and front door glass was destroyed by burglars who broke into .

York Road, 1400 block, between 7:40 p.m. on May 3 and 3:30 a.m. on May 4. About $435 were stolen from . Burglars broke the front door glass to get inside. Two cash registers were emptied. Burglars also stole the "tip jar."

Editor's Note: The above mentioned businesses are located next door to each other. Police believe the two burglaries are related.

West Seminary Avenue, 500 block, between 1:15 and 1:43 a.m. on May 4. Door locks were destroyed in an attempted burglary. The two suspects removed the motion door sensor, alarm key pad and fire alarm door cover after they got inside. Nothing was reported stolen.

Charmuth Road, 1100 block, between 4 p.m. on April 28 and 6 a.m. on April 30. Copper piping was stolen from a construction site bathroom.

York Road, 2100 block, between 4 p.m on April 28 and 6 a.m. on April 30. A safe containing cash was stolen from Fairgrounds Discount Beverages. The burglar broke through the wall of a neighboring business to get inside the liquor store's storeroom. The male suspect then used a "prytool" to get inside the store's office from where he stole the safe. 

York Road, 2100 block, between 4 p.m on April 28 and 6 a.m. on April 30. The same suspect mentioned in the entry above first had to pry into the back door of the adjacent . Once inside, the burglar broke through the wall to get to the liquor store. Police suspect Fairgrounds Discount Beverages was targeted.
