Man Wounded in Hunting Accident in Parkton

One person was transported to the hospital after being shot in the leg.

UPDATE (11:40 a.m.)—Baltimore County police are investigating an apparent hunting accident that sent one man to the hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg, according to a release. 

Police responded to the 300 block of Stablers Church Road at about 9 a.m. Tuesday. 

The unidentified male victim was transported to York Hospital's Trauma Center with non-life threatening injuries.

"Baltimore County Police's Violent Crimes Unit is the early stages of the investigation of the shooting," the release states. "The Maryland Department of Natural Resources is investigating possible violations of state hunting laws."
