Police Arrest Man Suspected of Robbing Two Banks

Robert Louis Thompson is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center without bail.

Baltimore County police have arrested a 32-year-old man on charges of robbing two banks.

Robert Louis Thompson, of no fixed addressed, was arrested May 5 and charged in two bank robberies after police received a tip from community members through the Metro Crime Stoppers hotline.

"We'd like to thank the community who stepped forward. We'd like to thank the media who publicized the photos and we'd like to thank Metro Crime Stoppers for helping police solve these very important crimes," said Det. Cathy Batton, a Baltimore County police spokeswoman.

Thompson allegedly used a note demanding money from a teller in both incidents on April 27 and April 29, at bank locations in Lutherville and Overlea, respectively.

He is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center. He was denied bail.
