A Baltimore woman faces murder charges after authorities say she became so enraged during an argument that she used her car to run over a woman and toddler, killing them both.

A 7-year-old girl was also injured in the west Baltimore hit-and-run that happened about 9 p.m. Tuesday at Franklin and Monroe streets.

Baltimore police on Wednesday night charged Lucresha Mints, 28, in the deaths of Latoyah Skipwith, 25, and 2-year-old Joshua Carter, along with the assault on the unidentified 7-year-old girl, reports WBAL TV. Mints and Skipwith reportedly argued, then authorities say Mints got into her car, aimed it at Skipwith and drove down the sidewalk, running over the three victims.

Shonice Mcdowell, the mother of Joshua Carter, told The Baltimore Sun said she saw blood pouring from the youngster’s body. "It was the most horrible scene," Mcdowell said. "I couldn't believe this was happening to my child."

Witnesses told the newspaper Mints had confronted Skipwith about a man they both knew.

Mints was charged Thursday with two counts of first-degree murder, one count of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of second-degree murder, one count of attempted second-degree murder, three counts each of first- and second-degree assault and various traffic-related infractions. She is being held without bond awaiting a June 27 preliminary hearing.

Earlier this month Mints was arrested following another fight, WBAL says.

Charging documents show that on May 4, Mints was charged with assault for beating a 12-year-old girl. She allegedly "began kicking the girl in the face and stomped on her nose causing severe bruising and swelling to most of her face," records say.
