Police have identified John William Moschetto as the motorcyclist killed in a Saturday morning accident at Shawan and Beaver Dam roads in Hunt Valley.
Moschetto, 58, of the 700 Block of Hollen Road in Baltimore, died when his motorcycle collided head-on into a Toyota 4Runner, police announced in a release Tuesday morning.
The Baltimore County police crash team is still investigating the accident, although early reports suggest that Moschetto lost control of his motorcycle and crossed the center line, heading into oncoming traffic. Moschetto was declared dead at the scene, according to police.
The man driving the 4Runner was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center with serious injuries. Three others in the vehicle, a woman and two juveniles were taken to other area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries, police stated.
