Police Investigate Armed Robberies In Cockeysville

Two unrelated incidents were reported in the Cockeysville area last week.

Police are currently investigating two armed robberies that occurred in the Cockeysville area last week, incident summaries show.

An 18-year-old man was attacked in one of the robberies, while a group of men invaded an apartment with weapons in the other.

The two armed robberies were reported within 24 hours of each other, although police do not believe they are related.

Cash and a book bag containing school books were stolen from an apartment in the 10400 block of Rainbow Ridge Drive on Nov. 12.

Three men wearing ski masks burst into the apartment with what appeared to be a kitchen knife, a baton and a handgun. There were seven people inside the apartment at the time of the robbery, at about 7:38 p.m.

The other incident began at a McDonald’s on Cranbrook Road.

A group of men met the 18-year-old victim  at the fast food restaurant at about 8:30 p.m.

The Cockeysville resident was attacked shortly after leaving en route to another person’s home on Warren Lodge Court. The victim was knocked down on Warren Road before one of the suspects pulled a handgun and demanded cash and a cellphone.

The robbers made off with $180 and an Android cellphone. The victim showed no visible signs of injury, according to the police report.

Both incidents remain under investigation.
