UPDATE: Police Arrest Pennsylvania Man for Alleged Assault on I-83

Numerous residents identified the suspect from a composite sketch.

Police have arrested a Pennsylvania man in the shoulder of I-83 after rear-ending her car, according to a release from the Maryland State Police. 

Michael Henshaw, 30, of the 400 block of Old Stone Way in York, PA, was charged with second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, robbery, driving on a suspended (out-of-state) license, reckless driving, negligent driving and failure to remain at the scene of an accident.

After police released a composite sketch (see photos) of Henshaw and a description of a soft-top Jeep Wrangler on Tuesday, the department received “numerous calls from residents who recognized the drawing,” police said.

Henshaw is currently being held at Central Booking in Pennsylvania, awaiting extradition to Maryland.

On July 29, Henshaw allegedly struck another car from behind while driving northbound on Interstate 83, at exit 33 in northern Baltimore County.

After the other driver refused to accept cash to settle the incident, Henshaw , punching her several times and dragging her after she attempted to run, according to the initial release from the state police.

The woman eventually managed to break away and fled the scene in her car.

Police said they were able to take Henshaw into custody without incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
