Waverly Armed Robber Steals $5

The robber held up two men at gunpoint with only a few dollars between them.

If this robber is ever caught it's doubtful this crime will be worth the time.

According to police, at 10:35 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, a robber armed with a handgun approached two men in the 3700 block of Ellerslie Avenue and demanded money.

One of the men didn’t have any money and another man only had $5.

The robber took the money and ran off.

"If this robber is ever caught it's doubtful this crime will be worth the time." "a robber armed with a handgun" Therein lies the firearm violence problem. The USE of firearms in the commission of crime is not treated as it MUST be. The display, flashing, implying a firearm in the commission of any other crime is subject to 10 years no parole no good time credits and served consecutively to any other sentence. The discharge of a firearm in the commission of any other crime is subject to 20 years no parole no good time credits and served consecutively to any other sentence. This will affect ONLY the criminals and will not affect even ONE law abiding forearm owner.
