Baltimore County Offers Free Flu Shots
Officials are especially urging African-American residents to get a shot.
Free flu shots are available in Baltimore County, and officials are urging residents six months and older to get vaccinated—especially African-Americans.
"I am urging all individuals six months and older and especially our African American population, who generally tends not to get vaccinated, to stay in the game and get a flu shot this year," Dr. Gregory Branch, director of Health and Human services, said in a news release.
The Department of Health is scheduled to host public flu vaccination clinics from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at several locations throughout the county. The shots will be made available on a first come first serve basis and no appointment is needed, according to the county.
