Veterans Day Commemoration

Baltimore County Executive Jim Smith will recognize veterans from all branches of the armed services in Patriot Plaza in Towson at noon Nov. 10, in anticipation of Veterans Day, when county offices are closed. The patriotic observance will include the presentation of colors by the Baltimore County Police Ceremonial Honor Guard; performances by the Patapsco High School and Center for the Arts Show Choir, and will feature guest speaker  Congressman John P. Sarbanes. All veterans and the general public are invited to attend the free event. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held at the National Guard Armory, 307 Washington Ave., Towson.
