LETTER: Council Members Express Support for New School in Mays Chapel

Vicki Almond and David Marks write that new school construction offers "the most immediate solution to overcrowding along the York Road corridor."

Baltimore County Council members David Marks and Vicki Almond have expressed their support of a planned 700-seat elementary school to be built in Mays Chapel, according to a letter sent to Baltimore County Board of Education president Lawrence Schmidt. (See above.)

The letter acknowledges community members' opposition to the construction, while pressing the new school as a the "most immediate solution" to overcrowding along the York Road corridor.

The Boad of Education is on the measure this evening.
